Financial Controller

Financial Controller being hired for a market-leading equipment and machinery rental company based in Staines (2 days in the office)

Up to £100,000 (depending on experience) plus bonus.

As Financial Controller, you'll be a key right-hand to the CFO, owning financial control, reporting, and compliance - while driving insights, leading a 15-strong team, and improving systems and processes. It's a rare opportunity to embed best-in-class finance operations into a business with huge momentum.

To successfully deliver in the profile position, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA) with 5+ years in financial reporting roles
• Background in audit, strong grasp of IFRS (16)
• Confidence to lead a team, manage stakeholders, and influence at C-suite level
• Experience in trading/construction/industrial sectors highly desirable
• Hands-on, tech-savvy with exceptional Excel and ERP/reporting tool skills
• Curious, commercially astute, and resilient in change

• Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting (IFRS), analysis and board-level insights
• Own the internal control environment and regulatory compliance
• Lead on cash forecasting, budgeting, and cost strategies
• Partner with leadership to support commercial decisions and growth
• Champion financial systems and reporting automation
• Coach, develop, and energise your finance team
• Act as CFO delegate when required
