Job Title:
Interim Financial Modeller `

Role Overview:

Stanton House is partnering with a notable PE-Backed Infrastructure business in London to appoint an experienced Interim Financial Modeller to join the team for a 6-month engagement. This crucial role will support the CFO in delivering a complex exit strategy this year. As the Financial Modeller, you will build, evaluate, and refine the M&A model and collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including advisors and potential buyers. Your ability to synthesise complex data and communicate financial insights will be pivotal in ensuring a successful exit process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a detailed M&A financial model to support the exit strategy.
  • Work closely with the CFO to ensure alignment with the broader business strategy and exit objectives.
  • Evaluate and stress-test various financial scenarios to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Collaborate with external advisors and legal teams to ensure the model is aligned with the deal structure and key considerations.
  • Present and explain the financial model to potential buyers, answering any questions and addressing concerns related to the model's assumptions, projections, and outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing financial analysis to support negotiation and transaction processes.
  • Develop reports and financial presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of financial modelling outputs to meet tight deadlines.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Modeller, preferably within M&A or corporate finance.
  • Strong experience in financial modelling, including building and refining complex models for corporate transactions (preferably exits).
  • Ability to interpret and present financial data to non-financial stakeholders, including potential buyers.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to face off with external advisors, buyers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other financial modelling tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A background in M&A, investment banking, or private equity.
  • Familiarity with complex deal structures and exit strategies.
  • CFA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous.

The role is based in London, and the client is looking for someone who can start within the next one to two weeks. The position will require attendance in the office approximately 2-3 days per week.
