Group Financial Controller

Stanton House is partnering with a leading Private Equity backed UK network service provider. With 1 thousands of site locations, connected buildings and outdoor networks, our client supports some of the UK's most challenging wireless environments.

They are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Group Financial Controller to join their fast-growing team. This is a critical leadership role, where you will have the opportunity to transform financial operations, drive automation, and build a best-in-class finance function within a high-growth, private equity-backed environment.

If you have a strong track record in financial control, financial operations, and transformation within services-based business, this role offers an exciting chance to make a real impact from the ground up.

In order to success in the role

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) - ACA preferred
  • Proven track record of transforming financial operations in a scalable business
  • Experience in technology/services/ infrastructure ideally within a PE/VC-backed environment
  • Strong expertise in UK GAAP, financial governance, and compliance
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and financial systems
  • Strategic thinker with a process improvement mindset and ability to drive change
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills

Key Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to

  • Oversee the monthly preparation of consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Lead cash flow management and financial resource optimisation.
  • Manage financial control frameworks, ensuring process efficiency and compliance.
  • Oversee transactional finance, payroll, treasury, and cash flow management (AP & AR), driving automation and efficiency.
  • Lead and implement project accounting and reporting.
  • Ensure audit readiness and lead external audits.
  • Oversee tax strategy, transfer pricing, and R&D tax credit claims.
  • Maintain compliance with UK reporting requirements and global financial governance.
  • Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Lead the strategic direction of financial systems, implementing best-in-class finance platforms.
  • Drive digital transformation within finance, particularly in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Enhance data integrity, reporting, and automation across finance functions.
  • Lead and mentor a finance team of ~4 FTE, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Drive team development and professional growth, ensuring scalability as the business grows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the CTO, COO, and Sales teams.
  • Support M&A activities, funding requirements, and post-acquisition integrations.
  • Implement scalable financial governance for acquired businesses.
