About the Job

Job Title: Commercial Director

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Remote with travel to London and Europe

Stanton House is partnering with a leading international consumer services and regulated products business to appoint a senior commercial leader for a newly created European growth role. The organisation operates across multiple European markets and is undertaking a significant transformation to create a more integrated, pan-regional operating model.

The business has built a strong presence through established retail and partner channels and is investing heavily in its next phase of growth. This appointment will play a central role in scaling commercial performance, aligning markets under a unified structure, and unlocking the full potential of existing partnerships, customer channels and revenue streams.

This is an opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans, substantial market opportunity, and the backing to drive meaningful organisational change across Europe.

Reporting directly to a divisional President, this position will lead the commercial agenda across a portfolio of European growth markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating strategy into commercial execution, driving sustainable revenue and margin growth, and supporting the transition to a more integrated European operating model. The role requires a combination of strategic leadership and hands-on delivery, with responsibility for growth initiatives, commercial performance, pricing, propositions and market development.

The position offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence the future direction of a growing European business operating in a regulated environment.

A little more information about the role:

  • Lead the commercial strategy across multiple European markets, ensuring growth priorities are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Drive sustainable revenue and margin growth through effective pricing, proposition and go-to-market strategies.
  • Identify, assess and prioritise new growth opportunities across existing sales channels, partnerships and market segments.
  • Provide leadership on commercial trade-offs, balancing growth ambitions with profitability, customer outcomes and operational realities.
  • Oversee market trading performance, ensuring commercial plans are executed effectively across channels and territories.
  • Partner with finance, operations, sales and other functional leaders to support commercial decision making and investment planning.
  • Use performance data, market insight and customer trends to refine strategy and improve commercial outcomes.
  • Sponsor key transformation and growth initiatives across the European business.
  • Build alignment across multiple functions and geographies to support a more integrated operating model.
  • Lead, develop and coach a team of direct reports while fostering accountability, collaboration and commercial discipline.

To successfully deliver in the profile position, you will need to have:

  • Significant senior commercial leadership experience within a consumer-facing business.
  • Track record of driving revenue growth, margin improvement and commercial performance within a multi-market environment.
  • Experience leading pricing, proposition, customer and go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and aligning multiple business functions behind common objectives.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate growth, investment and profitability decisions.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities and experience using data and insight to drive decision making.
  • Experience within insurance, warranty, subscription-based consumer services, utilities, telecommunications or other regulated B2C environments. Strong resilience, pragmatism and willingness to take a hands-on approach to delivery.
  • Willingness to travel across European locations on a regular basis.
